St Giles Hospice is a registered charity founded in 1983 by the Reverend Paul Brothwell, originally to improve the care of local people dying with cancer and other serious illnesses, as well as providing support for their families and helpers.
In conjunction with a major refurbishment and extension, Fixfire® completed a full upgrade of the existing Life Safety Systems including:
Fire Alarm System. The original building was protected with multiple interlinked conventional Fire Alarm Systems. Fixfire® upgraded the existing systems with a multi-loop ‘fault-tolerant’ networked 'open protocol' analogue addressable version including ADVPLUS control and indicating equipment.
Fire Door Hold-back devices. Supply and installation of electromagnetic free-swing door closers and door hold-back devices to various doors throughout the scheme.
Installation of CareAlert600 Nurse Call System with Infra-Red receivers to permit remote activation of system via pendants.
The experienced projects team are used to working in operational healthcare environments ensuring minimum disruption and minimum down-time during system upgrades and replacement.
Fixfire® provides planned and reactive maintenance for all systems and equipment.
