Fixfire® installed the original Fire Alarm and Nurse Call Systems when this special Care Home was constructed in the mid 80’s. The systems were maintained for many years until their life-cycle replacement, a testimony to the reliability and quality of service provided by Fixfire®.
The Nurse Call System was upgraded to a CareAlert 600 with enhancements to enable connection of specialist accessories such as Epilepsy Alarms and BreathAlert plug-in accessories. Infra-Red devices are incorporated permitting activation of the system via remote pendant devices which gives the service users increased flexibility. A paging system is now included and this reports all system activity to mobile pagers which are worn by the staff. This enables the Display Units to be used for read-only information for minimal disturbance to service users.
In conjunction with change of use of an existing area, the system has just been extended, in addition to Call Units and Pull Cord devices including installation of CareBell™ Door Bell and Door Monitoring Points.
