The Charterhouse is owned by Historic Coventry Trust and it is one of the oldest Coventry’s buildings. It is one of only nine Carthusian monasteries in the country and it was founded in 1381.
This heritage building is undergoing an £8 million major restoration over a protracted period as specialist craftsmen painstakingly repair and refurbish the building whilst retaining original features. In order to provide effective protection during the works, Fixfire® was engaged to provide a solution.
HireAlarm™ to the rescue! Fixfire® installed a FireSentry™ Wireless Fire Alarm system comprising Manual Call Points and Fire Detectors to protect the main building and notify the Site Manager in an annexe being used as the Project Office. The system incorporates a TextMaster™ unit to alert keyholders in the event of activation of the system outside of hours of work.
