King Henry VIII School was founded in 1545 by the scholar and writer John Hales. It is a leading, co-educational independent school in the West Midlands that serves the needs of over 1,300 pupils.
This project was successfully completed on a phased and fast-track basis inside school holiday periods. The existing protection comprised a mixture of conventional Fire Alarm systems with inconsistent levels of Automatic Fire Detection (AFD) across the school. The existing wiring infrastructure was utilised, replacing the existing hardware and extending the installations to achieve a Category L2 protection across the site.
The system employs a network of 4 no ADV/PLUS range open-protocol Fire Alarm Control Panels and approximately 600 Fire Detection devices and includes wireless and hardwired interlinks to other remote Fire Alarm Systems around the site.
