A obsolete Closed-protocol fire alarm system had reached the end of it's operation life. Fixfire employed latest-generation Open-protocol Fire Alarm Panels and addressable devices for a complete panel and device upgrade, largely reusing the existing cabling to minimise damage to the fabric of the building.
Anti-vandal and Anti-ligature Keycall Manual Callpoints replaced existing plastic versions and the latest technology in Flush Optical Smoke Detectors have been utilised in bedrooms, combining to give the Trust a fit-for-purpose Fire Alarm system to serve them for many years to come.
- 19 Fire Alarm Panels & Repeater Panels, wired in a fault-tolerant network configuration. The network has been completely rewired.
- Circa 1450 field devices
- Careful planning & liaison with estates and clinical staff to manage an installation in live patient areas.
