Fixfire® supplied and commissioned upgraded Life Safety Systems to enhance Fire Safety precautions within this purpose-built student accommodation scheme.

This significant project included upgrading the existing Fire Alarm System to an 'open-protocol' version and extending the installation to a Category L1 to comply with a new University fire safety requirement.The system employs six ADV/PLUS range 1-2 Loop Fire Alarm Panels which are connected via a network incorporating a repeater panel in the staff office for fast identification of system activations.  In excess of 984 fire alarm devices were installed over a compressed project of 8 weeks during the summer holiday period.
